Micro Pedalflow | Easy-to-Carry Seatless Folding Bike
Looks neat tds101.. how would you rate it's efficiency/range vs a regular folder? ie, a 20 mile ride on a folder would be the equivalent of _____? on the Pedalflow. Price is certainly low, but the fold seems larger than many folding bikes.... might be a great lock-outside alternative transport.

This is definitely not a distance machine. Stock, I'd say a 5 miles ride is a decent workout. Now that I have the 16t cog on it, it will most assuredly change the distance a person can comfortably ride it. I'd really recommend NOT using this as an alternative means of transportation. It's more for exercise, or putzing around with the kids, or maybe a brief lunchtime ride. And this is more like a large scooter, so it's not designed to be locked up outside.

This thing is for killing time,...I'd never commute with it. It just isn't built for it. I considered it,...I realized the errors of my thinking.

Thanks. It's more efficient than walking or a scooter right?

I have small campervan and am looking for the most efficient short distance, low hassle, low theft risk, transport alternative that beats walking. This will be for buzzing around a campground, and getting into hamlet towns when parked in the outskirts up to 1 mile away max. I've been using my folders for that so far, and I'll always keep one in the van, but they are overkill and more worrisome/hassle ($$/weight) for this short distance purpose. Due to the narrow/long shape of the Pedalflow, I think it can fit right alongside my folder under the bed. Just wondering if this might fit the bill, although I wish it folded smaller for what it is.

For this, the pedalflow would be great. I'm going to take a train ride to a pizza shop, then go for a short ride afterwards. For quick jaunts this is wonderful. And now that I have a 16t cog on it, I can tackle small hills. Otherwise, hills will be almost impossible.

OK, 20 minute ride, average of about 6.25mph, going mostly uphill. It was comfortable, and I can easily do more. I wouldn't be flying up and down the sidewalk, but it's a nice, leisurely pace.

Nothing like that in Jakarta, that's for sure. I lived there a few years, so i had to drive to West Java, the province surrounding Jakarta, to get dirt, greenery and fresh air back in my MTB days. Jakarta is quite unlike the rest of the country. Cheers...

I can imagine. I was so disappointed that I couldn't get out and see some of the country. So much beauty missed.

Brompton and baseball game

While out for a ride, I parked near the outfield of a team practicing for the upcoming league play. Beautiful October weather. No breeze with 72 degree temps. Those of us who live in the desert wait for the end of the summer heat. Although we can ride year round, we are now in the best of times for riding. How better can it get!!

Just a quick snapshot on my way to work. It was the first real snowfall and the roads were a skating rink but with my Schwalbe Marathon Winter tires the commute was tolerable.
