Prices on Downtube fluctuate
FYI over the past 15+ yrs our prices have been extremely stable. I hope the future will be stable, unlike the trade war stuff.
Thanks

Just discovered this bike today, carbon belt and Alfine 11 hub -- looked into BFs in this forum and found your post. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Didn't know about the company before.
How many gear inches is your lowest low? And the highest high? Thanks.

Sorry I don't recall the chain ring/wheel teeth count; that will dictate gear inches range.
You can probably get the range from Shimano's site.
When I placed an order for my pakiT; I went with the 8 speed der:

...following up on this thread -- I finally bought a bike!
I bought a 6-speed Brompton off Craigslist. It's older, early 2000s, and has a tad of rust on some of the bolts, and could use a tune-up, but it rides great. So I've started watching Youtube videos on how to remove the rear tire, in the event of a flat, and basic maintenance tips, etc.
Thanks for all the input in helping inform this decision -- so many awesome bikes to choose from.

GOOD LOCK?
The Bike Friday PakIt comes with 16" wheels, and is deasigned to be packed rapidly. I assume the backpack is airline appropriate.
You can get it with an IGH multi-speed, also a belt drive.
Prices do add up.
There is a guy on this forum working with Oragami, although I'm not sure what they offer.
There should be quite a few other options.

The Brompton was the best choice. I’ve owned 3 and a couple of Dahon bikes. The bromptons have performed flawless and fold and unfold perfect every time.
