Movie about Major Taylor on True Stories Network

The movie "Tracks Of Glory" was on the True Stories Channel.
Didn't get to see it but it appears to be based on the book "Major Taylor Down Under".

What country are you in? I've never heard of the "true stories channel", but I'm quite interested in the life of Major Taylor.
For those of you who are unaware of his life, he was probably the pre-eminant black athelete in the USA during the early years of the 20th century. In fact, between him and the cycling "buffalo soldiers" of the western US army, the contributions that afro-Americans gave to the burgeoning cycling movement in the late 19th/early 20th century were substantial, and yet often overlooked.

Whoa!

Damn, damn damn... I missed seeing the Major?

I will check the channel times. I bet they're showing him because it's prime cycling season.

Funny thing, I was in a bar last week, and this guy was talking about him. There's a velodrome in Indiana named after him, and there's also a big bike trail out on the south side named after him too. He was a true cyclist- overcoming all odds and racing in Europe, winning some impressive titles and breaking some impressive records too.

I got his book- it's awesome....

Thanks for the heads up, Kevin!

Im in the US, it is a cable network that only shows movies based on true stories.

I used to work for the great nephew of the white officer that lead that cycling buffalo soldiers unit. They were the first Mountain Bikers, not those cats in Marin. The nephew is BIll Moss, he owns French Quarter Bikes here in New Orleans.

Do you know of a link that has non-cable channels? I don't see much going on for ESPN, and of course, every person on the planet knows I've been screaming about my lack of OLN access.

Don't they at least do those midnight updates on the local channels anymore? It seems like all there is for updates is CBS on Sundays for an hour... and Phil Liggett was AWESOME when he did the updates. If he's anything close to what you guys get every day on OLN, I am truly impressed. No one with OLN access should be complaining. That was good stuff on CBS today, even if it is only 1 hour.
