Sold a bike today

Long story…. So I listed a xl sized blue Schwinn continental for sale on marketplace.( finally admitting that I fit a smaller frame bike than the big ones). A guy reaches out asking if I’d ship, I say no trying for a local sale and it’s a pretty darn heavy bike! So he says I’ll make the drive to pick it up. 8 hrs and change! Springfield Illinois to eastern suburbs of Cleveland Ohio. Sure enough Saturday afternoon the deal was done. I’ve met a lot of cool people through the vintage bike hobby and thought this was a cool story. So Anthony, thanks for making the trip! Here’s a pic of big blue.

I love the color. A true classic. I remember in high school, about 1968 , I had a Varsity and my best friend had a Conti , I envied the slightly higher end Continental it was just a bit lighter if I remember correctly.

I had a yellow one, but no cooling towers. That's a long drive for a Continental.

When polished well, those shiny steel parts look great against Schwinn Opaque Blue. A beautiful color!

same here. I live pretty far out so selling bikes is pretty tough. For someone to drive so far tells me they’re pretty excited for the bike.
