Heh, that was a good run after going wide in that turn.

Not my video, but it is from this past weekend's crit. Some good Junior action around 2:10. Kid in black (a teammate) on right was caught about 300m before the line after being out for the last two laps.

Yes - lots of crashes and lots of moaning, nothing broken the race director said.
The last crash you saw in the RR (2nd video) the kid walked to the support car and jumped in my seat (uninvited). Kept telling us the way to the med tent how good he was feeling before the crash. Drama level was so high the medics had to bring a chair over to get him out and we got passed by two groups. So our support opportunity was over, we went reverse course, and I got dropped off at the finish to take video.
I would be curious your thoughts on the finish of Stage II - the RR. I don't want to lead the conversation.

Oops yeah, I mean #palmtreeproblems
Seemed pretty standard to me - did I miss something?

Can't argue that. But it is a stage race. err - It matters.
You can see my son sit up on the left (his right) about 20th place. That caused a few ft gap that the judges used their cameras for and declared he came in 4 sec after the pack, his teammate did the same so was judged to have come in 6 sec back (they are all in the main pack). Teammate was 2nd GC, lost 6 seconds to other teammate that crashed the lap before and was given the time of the first rider.

That's silly. Having been there, that climb levels off so much after the feed zone that judging time gaps inside the pack is a bit over the top.

So next stage race (GA) my kid will sprint and throw his bike to be sure there are no gaps - because we never know who got the new slow-mo equipment.

My win at the Colossal Cave RR yesterday. Someone from another field is rolling through as we are sprinting. I ended my sprint just as we come into the field of view as I knew I had it, but that almost cost me the win. Too bad you ca't hear me grunting like a wild boar!:

What's your average pedaling cadence? It seems like it's <90, which will contribute to your fatigue, especially in a race where you're having to hammer out of corners. You probably could have lasted longer if you were doing 95-110rpm out of the corners instead of the 75-85 I seemed to see.
