Evaluating Centurion Le Mans 12 Mixte

UPDATE: Sorry meant to post to What's It Worth. Reposting there.

Can't see any clues or read component names in the photos on this Craigslist ad for a Centurion Mixte Le Mans 12. Hard to tell but looks like surface rust and maybe dried out tires. I have no need for another mixte but I feel a need to buy for a good deal! See any clues that could help me spec?

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sg...690987507.html

Thanks

Were I do re-do it, I'd retain the rear caliper and then go flat bar 2x10, using easy-to-find 10sp parts and wheels, get the biggest tires that will fit, run 3x10 XT controls because they are pretty easy to find and cheap, and just enjoy the heck out of it.

If you go get it, slap the seller for doing all those photos from the non-drive side.

A bit of an anomaly, says 12 but is 18 speed with the triple up front. Forged dropouts are the telltale here especially in the rear with hanger, no claw. While Centurion and others did this on most of their bikes it speaks to better overall quality and is always a good thing. Definitely a pretty good deal imho.

Her's a fine example,

I'd buy it, but I would try for a discount due to rust pockets and a missing bottle cage screw.

Tx! It was in good shape when I got it for her, cleaned it up, added, rack, Brooks, stem shifters, fenders, and shiny bar tape.

It was a home run for Christmas about three years ago that she didn't even know she wanted, but was beyond thrilled to get.
