Campagnolo C-Record dustcap extractor: how to build it?

so, I was about to buy one of these extractors for a decent price (40 euros), already paid with Paypal, when the seller reached me on Whatsup - sorry, we made a mistake with the inventory of the online store, the extractor is out of stock in our warehouse -

Oh, boy, what to do now? Let's try to build one.

Has anyone tried this yet?
If so, can you share the details of the project?

I wonder if you could use something like this (maybe with a modification?) Steel, 7 in Handle Lg, Faucet Handle Puller - 34A502|34A502 - Grainger

If you own a knife, and maybe a bench grinder you're all set. Using a dull knife alone, force it under the cap, lift slightly (if necessary) then walk it around to free the entire cap. If you want something fancier, and ensure against distorting the cap. Use a bench grinder to grind a curve into the blade matching the dust cap, then use it as above.

FWIW - BITD I used to use a linoleum knife for this job and never had an issue doing so. But that's a new purchase for the OP.
