I am also on CR list, although I barely scanned the posts about this bike. This was bike posted again after the post you are referencing, seems like something fell through?
The $900 is a good detail for someone to who wants to make an offer

There's got to be a good story behind a Holdsworth with the tricolor on the seat stay caps and all French components!

no kidding: very odd kit for a Holdsworth with "Team/Pro" livery BUT stamped DOs, the pump pegs, lamp bracket lug and "all that French stuff". I'd want to get more details, but simple answer might be "it was custom"

No, not on CR, pretty sure I would only get in trouble over there.

Maybe when I grow up.

Dated to 1959, by whom, Ken from Cupertino or the original owner?

Still a crap shoot, mostly, barring extraordinary documentation.

Mine was dated with several frames very close before and after and still deemed not very close to certain at 61.

Sounds like a lot of jerking around to me but for $900 somebody besides me should jump, no pot or window and don't think its really my size anyway.

The one I have is big but not really big enough and will eventually get a sympathetic rebuild that will probably make the CR heads explode.

One of the biggest things on these is the BB, if it has a 74mm shell as they often are and you don't have a spindle for whatever crank you want to use, you may be looking at facing it down if it hasn't been done which is a hard way to go and sucks value. SP, binder and it seems HS can be a PITA too.

Fortunately mine came with all that so.....

Snagged it! Very nice and thanks to the owner for putting it on the market.

I'm working through relatively minor issues to get it rolling.

I had just finished looking up this Miele to see what it was - looks to be a 1991 Volta - lower end model, not so much of a deal, but what the heck another Miele

Note: Claw derailleur hanger. It’s one of the Falcon UK manufactured. Nothing special & not worth the asking price.
Cheers,
Van

Ain't that the truth. A Portage is a nice bike, but not $750 nice.

The high flange hubs caught my eye. Seller lists as a Schwinn, but I'm not getting Schwinn vibes from this. The eyelets on the rear dropouts are distinctive features, and the chain stays are long.

Dirty, but looks original, including low mileage Unicanitor.

Motobecane Grand Jubilee

$350

Grand Jubilee

1970's Motobecane Grand Jubilee. The frame is quite large. Haven't taken measurements but it would be for someone 5'10 or taller. This bike has been garage stored probably the since the day it left the bike shop. It's dusty but in great shape. Very light weight.

The price is the only thing that saves this one from the WW thread, between "Trex", the useless text ("air pump", as opposed to a water pump, smog pump, etc?), the only DS photo being of the saddle, and of course the saddle itself. At least he didn't mention the "missing kickstand...."
