The new fixie! As some of you may or may not remember, I was riding my bike downtown about a month ago when the joint between the down tube and the head tube sort of....let go. About two weeks ago I ordered a new frame from Chuck's bikes. Here's the final product.
Marin Verona steel frame and fork
Nashbar headset
Profile stem
Nashbar bars
Cane Creek brake lever
Shimano 105 brake
Deda tape
Corima seat post
Fizik Pavé saddle
Shimano BB
Sugino crank & chainring
Rear wheel: White Industries eccentric hub, Sun rim, Continental tire
Front wheel: Shimanao 600 hub, Matrix aero rim, unknown tire (I found this wheel on the street!)
Shimano spuds for pedals
All in all, holy shît do I love this bike.

It never occurred to me that I know a lot of girls who bike, but I do. Which to me is a good thing - in general, most of my friends bike in some capacity or the other. Chicago sure is good for that. However skitbra, since you stake out Letizia's, you'd notice that Wicker Park and the surrounding area tends to be full of people riding bikes, I suppose most of the punker.indie.diy.emo.whatever kids. And on a side note, if you want to meet fixie girls - why the hell aren't you at the Handlebar?

The reason I thought it was your roomie was because your pics of her bike looked familiar. Just like the girl I saw by Letizia's and that girl was tall, too.

Yeah, a Confederate flag on the headtube and a double zero on the TT, right near the seat tube. OR put the 00 on the down tube and have 'General Lee' at the seat cluster.

Or you can put Reynolds stickers on it, say you got it from your cousin who raced professionally for 8 years and sell it on ebay for $2000.

My orange bike has gears. I guess I can't post it here. Orange is the best color though without a doubt.
