Two things I wish did not work so well
Intervals & Aero wheels
Intervals becouse they are so hard.
Aero wheels becouse they are so expensive.
Went out for a long test ride ( 85 miles ) with the Dura Ace WH-7850-C50-CL
The wheels were responsive, cornered well and were faster than my Bontager Race X Lites.
I rode a corse that I am very familiar with and have ridden many times. Most times when I would check my speed I was a mph or two over what I would normaly be at that point on the ride.
I also found that on moderate downhill portions the point when it was no longer productive to pedal came sooner. As well on the rollers I would go much further up the other side before it was appropriate to start pedaling again.
The diferance between these wheels and my Race X lites is about as great as the diferance was in going from the Bontager race to the Race X lites
Damnit! ..... Now I guess I have to buy them.

So, how fast were you going where you saw this 1 mph improvement. I always figure that I don't go fast enough to where they'd make a difference. They do look good, however.

If you don't buy aero wheels then your training becomes harder so your intervals get more difficult and therefore more effective.
Vicious or virtuous circle depending on how you look at it.
