After working up to 1000 body weight squats, horse stance became a lot easier. I haven't seen how long I can hold it but that sounds like a fun game.
Years ago I watched Jack Mace (sp?) YT videos and he was really big on this stance.

I'm looking at our horses right now, and they sure don't stand anything like that. And, why does the guy need to take his shirt off to do this stance?

Is that similar to the Buffalo Stance that Nina Cherry used to do?

A shirtless bro standing there maybe trying to take a dump? No thanks. I do get that stretching and stuff like this is helpful for cycling but keep your shirt on. He does remind me of an old Black Flag DVD I have where Henry Rollins comes out in basically a net top and nearly at the beginning of the concert take this barely a shirt off. What is the point of having it or if you are taking it off right away why even put it on in the first place? We aren't all Right Said Fred!

Horse stance is one of the traditional martial arts stances that's used in various Asian martial arts. Gets it's name from a position which resembles sitting on a horse. I have a feeling this is going to be a troll fest, it's already started.

One year on the HS basketball team, we had to hold a defensive stance for 30 minutes. If we came out of it, we had to run lines and then reassume the position.

Some research shows that stretching is most beneficial *post* exercise. The idea being that tight muscles perform better.
I only stretch to be able to get out of bed due to long-term effects from a dog-related crash, never for exercise so I might not be an expert.

This horse pose absolutely has made cycling easier this week.
MY tolerance for pain jumped to a new level this week.
A hill that used to give me problems is now easy and no big thing
