Sears Sportflite Help
Hello all,
I just received my Grandparent's old tandem bike that has been passed around the family for the last 20 years. I'm guessing it is close to 40 years old. From searching the internet, I believe it is a Sears Sportflite model. But that's all I could come up with. I'm really curious of the exact age, and I would really like to get my hands on some type of literature. I also realize that it is worth more in sentimental value than a pack of gum, but it's fun to play. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Did you ever get any information about your Sportflite tandem? I'm trying to find out about a Sportflite men's cruiser, and can't seem to find much.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I never found out any info and I kind of gave up on it. My main interest in the bike is to keep it safe to ride mainly for kids and nieces and nephews. I'd like all of the children to have as many fond memories of it as I do. I went through it and cleaned and greased all of the bearings, pedals, chains, etc. One of these days when I retire, I'll totally disassemble it, repaint it and redo everything. But for now, it'll be enjoyed the way it is. Here are a couple of pics.

There are one or more sites that have old sears catalogs online. With a little forensics you might have some luck there.
