Wow, I posted to this thread 7 years ago and it is still going.
I still have 2 of the 3 bikes, both classic steel, and neither of which still have their pictures up. The third one, the newest one, I crashed. It was my Kuota Kharma, which I replaced with a Kuota Kredo frame and pulled all the parts off the Kharma. This was 7 years ago and it is still my main ride, with one classic still set up for me, and the other my son uses. (He's much taller than I am so I'm surprised he fits.)

I don't know.

Fuji's don't get enough appreciation here. I'm glad that one did.

New summer project!
2013 Domane 6 series. It's an actual team bike so its a bit more stiff than the production model as well as a much shorter headtube. Really awesome bike. I'm excited to get rolling with the build on it!

I put my madone together from a frame, and will most likely retire the madone frameset and swap over most of my parts except for stem onto the domane. Still have a few little pieces to find for the Domane though. We'll see how long it takes to get all built up!

Just picked up my first C&V find -- a 1988 Cannondale SR500 Criterium -- needs some work, but not bad for $90.

Hi Guys,
Going to post pics later. What are the "white garage" rules again?
Going to post pics later. What are the "white garage" rules again?
Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Indirect light, because direct sunlight creates shadows on the door that distract from the lines of the bike;
Drive side facing the camera, so we can see the crankset and either praise or criticize you for it;
Cranks aligned with the chainstay, near arm pointed forward, purely for aesthetic reasons;
No nutsack... I mean, underseat bag, 'cuz you're a racer, man;
No bottles in the cages, because you've thrown them into the crowd before the final sprint;
Valve stems at 6 o'clock, and tire labels at 12 o'clock -- or both aligned -- either way, the tire name, as tiny as it may be, should be upright;
Slammed stem pointed down or flat (if you have to temporarily shuffle some spacers on top and Photoshop them out, then, well, you gotta do what you gotta do);
And, an honest tip from me -- zoom in the camera all the way and stand back at least far enough to fill the frame with the bike (or farther, and crop the pic later). This flattens the image so you don't have weird perspective angles distorting the shape of the bike. It can help to make both the handlebars and the rear triangle look cleaner.
Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Interesting build. If anyone wonders what to do if they want to spend where it counts the most and stay cheap otherwise, this is a perfect example. By the time you wear out that drivetrain (which will take a while, honestly), you'll know either exactly what to replace it with or what other bike you'd put the bars and wheels on.
