Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sorry about posting again. But I took a ride yesterday and stopped off at my buddies house who happens to have garage doors. Does it still count if they are not your doors? Lol.

I failed to mention this is my first Garage door post.

Yeah, bumped it with my work stand. Fixed now. Don't need to be blinding the ground.

I think it counts, but now you'll have to ride back and retake the pic with your valve stems both pointing the same way and the crank arms level...

Here's my two old school:
'83 Raleigh Competition that was given to me, and a '81 Lotus Super Pro "Aero" that was found on the curb with a damaged rear rim:

Thanks for the kind words, folks. I built the bike up on a budget and am very happy with how it came out. I don't regret selling my S-Works SL2 for a second. PM for more information if you'd like it.

Photoshop magic. I propped an awful looking wood piece under the bottom bracket to stand it up.
A little clone stamp tool and about 20 minutes per photo and its much cleaner now, though maybe a bit unnatural looking...

I see the term 'fred' tossed around a lot here. I can only assume it is somewhat derogatory. Am I right?

It's a term used far too often by people that think they're better than you. Don't worry though, they're just scared you'll pass them while they ride their $6k bike with power meter and team jersey on a "training ride". Then they'll ***** about a fredly wheelsucker in yet another Fred Thread on BF. It's a never ending cycle really.

edit:
Nice ride
