Thanks. I spent the winter looking at bikes, and this is the one I chose. I'm coming off a 1989 Cannondale, so anything was going to be an upgrade.
It rides great although I've not got a lot of miles on it yet. I also thought it was a great buy. Here is what is came with: full dura ace, easton orion II wheels, Aerus carbon seatpost, handlebars, and stem. The frame is carbon with aluminum lugs.

It's old and it's steel, but it's still the nicest bike I've ever had:

Here's my non-OCP 2005 Cannondale R1000. Since this picture was taken I replaced the seat post (my LBS cracked my original one during a tune up).
Sorry for the crappy lighting.

17. Currently running on 42:12 gears waiting for a bigger chainring. Serious racing hasn't started yet so it isn't of crucial importance. I'll keep my spinning up for another couple of weeks.

I have to ask; what the hell is your job? I'm having trouble just finding a job around here. Maybe when the summers' done I could afford a BMC (the Team Machine is one of the three frames that gives me chills), but that's with manual labor and 40-45 hours a week on roofs.

Remember, those aren't my wheels. My everyday wheels are Shimano R500, or race wheels are Neuvation R28. Junior rules over here make it illegal to use carbon at the moment.
And I work part-time as a mechanic in a bike shop. It is great because I get great discounts and I repair anything on my own bike for free with great quality tools. If you can, get a couple of old crappy bikes, pull em apart, learn how to put them back together. I do a lot of singlespeed conversions and that really helped me with the mechanical skills. Possible upcoming project is a BMC TT03 converted to fixed gear for the track. Keep in mind that the SL01 was put together over 1.5 years too.
Oh yeah, if you enjoy bikes, I seriously suggest looking for a job in a bike shop, it rocks, but its dangerous. We just got in a campy Record carbon UT (we don't normally carry this stuff. Its Australia, cycling population is very small) group and, of course, I want it but retail in aus is $3,000AUD
Oh yeah. It helps to have a good friend who just bought one hehe.

My Giant
Pretty much stock except for Thomson stem and FSA Wing bar. Would like to get a better wheelset at some point, and a better crank. <-- only because I hear the Truvative BBs aren't that hot. The crank itself get's good reviews.

Here she is with her new shoes. The reason that the Fulcrums are so heavy 1730g or something is the fact that they didn't use an aluminum freehub body, which was the downfall of my last wheelset, I just ground straight through the aluminum teeth in there.
Plus, these wheels just look so cool! 8 radially laced spokes on the non-drive side, and 16 2x on the drive side. There are also two silver non-aero spokes on each wheel to blance out the valve drilling, they kinda look cool. I might as well aribrush them red.
And some of my busted brifter.
Where I hit, the white scratches... Yeah, the only scratches anywhere on the entire bike.

And yes, you need bar tape.

Flip the stem and get black wheels.
::EDIT:: And for God's sake, take it back to your LBS and yell at them for making the cables so damned long!
