Easy spinning with Fido
This morning I took my beater Le Champion out while walking (biking?) my one year old Ausie. We alternated ball chasing and bike chasing. I hope to train him to not chase after other cyclists when off leash and hopefully to get him to the point where he could safely accompany me on a low speed trail ride. Anyway he didn't crash me out today, but we didn't really make much progress otherwise. Anyone else bike with Fido? Training tips? Should I just give up?

I used to do that with mine. I got this harness thing that taught them to pace me at a safe distance. Worked pretty well.

Biking with the dog off-leash? Sure, I have a suggestion: don't do it.
For your dog's sake, for your sake - and everybody else's sake, too. Signs requiring pets be on a leash on a MUP are there for good reason.
Sorry if I seem to be the proverbial stick in the mud, but really, I'm surprised a cyclist is even asking this question. An unleashed dog on a trail is simply an accident waiting to happen.

Point taken, DD. But no, I wouldn't taken on anything remotely resembling an MUP.
