Looking for softcore riding buddies in SE WI or NE IL
I'm mostly riding my eBikes now; love them. But I want to get into better shape and eventually add a proper road bike to the fleet.
For now, I'd be riding my commuter eBike (Aventon Level.2) or my hybrid. (Trek Verve 3) I'm happy between 15-25 mph on the ebike or 10-15 on the hybrid.
Looking for 10-30 mile rides for now. Trails or road is fine.
I live in Kenosha, WI on the southwest corner, surrounded by Pleasant Prairie.

I'm a bit south of you (Evanston IL), so maybe not northeast enough in IL You might try posting to the Great Lakes regional forum as well.

I'd be up for heading down there for a ride now and then. Evanston seems like a great bike town, from the few times I've been there. I think there's a bike trail that connects to Chicago's lakefront trail, right?
If you're up for a ride, my work buddy and I are planning to meet up at the stateline trail head of Van Patten Woods near 173 and 41 Sunday morning about 9:30 for a mixed ride. (gravel & road) He's thinking maybe 30-40 miles.

I'll have to remember to stow the road when I travel out that way again.

Last I heard, it's supposed to let up after today. I hope so, as I really want to go on that ride with my buddy.
