1988 Schwinn Traveler resto
Hello all! This is my first post on this forum after a long time reading. After a long time tinkering with bikes, I've gained interest in restoring bicycles. This is my first full restoration, I thought I would post some pics and see what you all think. Its nothing special, but I liked the colors, and it looked to have potential. Its a 1988 Schwinn Traveler with True Temper tubing and a Tange fork. I kept it all original with the exception of modern tires and brake pads to make for a more sporting ride.

Welcome to the forum Wild. Tell us more about your painting of the frame... did you do that? Was it a rattle can process, or something else? You a semi-professional paint guy, cause that paint job looks pretty good?

Thank you Uncle. The paint is rattle can, I am not semi-professional, though I have been around spray booths a little. I stripped the frame to bare metal, 2 coats of high build primer, 2 coats of color, and 2 coats of clear. After I'm done I have a makeshift "oven" I put it in for about an hour at 120 degrees or so. I have more pics that I will try to include, but things aren't going my way today apparently.

Your bike came out great. I like the white bar tape and seat.
