Punctured bike.

I have a fixed gear punctured bike(both tyres),i play soccer and lift light weights but never gave attention to my bike, one day i took it for a ride and my quads started burning after five minutes,is riding punctured bike a good workout and it will build stamina and legs size? i have to appear in one mile run test and i have to do it under 5.30 minutes, thanks.

I suppose it would give you a better cardio workout but it won't do your tires or rims any good, although, the damage might already be done.

Hey shahoo I think you have to tell us,,, the tires were still on the bike but were flat right???? And you went for a ride, then you felt your legs burning,,,, I think you can get more benefits out of that if you go to beach and ride it in the sand with flat tires , try that ,, you'll get a burn then,,, y after that I bet you'll do your run in four mins.,,, happy memorial Day,,,,,

Actually, we are all just trying to convince you not to believe your own eyes ... you have stumbled on the top-secret training strategy of all the best pro teams, and we want to keep it secret.

Keep on riding flat tires and a Tour de France win is certainly in your future.

You think flat tires is a good workout? Try dragging an 18-wheeler behind you with flat tires! Even better!

You think weight resistance & riding a bike is training to run a mile under 5:30? Take a look at marathon runners & record setters. No muscle mass & scrawny. They are weaker than the average person that doesn't even excercise.

it varies from state to state depending on the age of the bike and whether you have parental consent. Get it in writing.

It varies from state to state.
For example, here in TX you can ride a punctured bike, so long as you wear a helmet.
But in no case is it legal to ride a double punctured bike, which is what you describe. Unless of course you have a double punctured operator's license, and then only under 40 mph.

Weird, because here in TX you can legally operate a motorcycle without a helmet. But not even a single puncture motorcycle is legal.
