Shimano SL-7800 Shifters Wanted

I'm looking for a pair of Shimano 10-speed downtube shifters, preferably SL-7800 for a pending semi-retromod build.
Thanks,
Brent

Those must be difficult to find. No hits on eBay.

Indeed. Few and far between. By the time these came out most folks had switched to brifters. The triathletes sometimes attached these to their aerobars.

Microshift makes a compatible shifter but I find it rather homely.

The SL-7700 shifters for 9-speed can still be found, so I may have to go that way if nothing comes up at a price I can justify.

I will take a look in my Dura Ace bin when I get a chance.

Brent, I looked in my stash, remembering I might have a set of DA shifters. These are not the ones you are looking for (model SL-7401) but let me know if you have any interest.

Andy

@75lechamp Many thanks for the offer Andy. Those are 7 speed I believe. I'm looking for 10 speed, or 9 speed if I fail to find 10.

The BS78 bar ends pop up for sale on eBay regularly. The internals can be swapped into the above 7401 shifters. You end up with 10 speed indexed with a friction option.

Of course there are 7900 dt shifters but they lack the friction option.

@BradH I am very thankful for that information!
I have a pair of 7401 shifters in my parts collection, so I'm already part way there.
