The chain stays are perfect, of course.
Most every place else shows some signs of brush marks if you look close enough, but IMO it looks polished from three feet away.
This is the worst of it.
It was stripped when I got it. Here's a "before" shot of the seat cluster showing the trace of original paint.

It seems like fully stripped Montellos are fairly common, so I wonder if maybe they did have a problem with flaking paint on some production runs. I would have been tempted to say mine could have started life chromovelato except that there were traces of red paint inside the seat tube (before I had the lugs painted).
My wife has a Veneto Donna with Spumone colour sheme. the seat stays are full chrome with high mirror-like quality. From brake bridge to sp lug are on paint. It isn't cromovelato but is incredibly sensitive to any small physical contact. From that I think the real chromovelato really feels safe himself on the wall of the garage.

Good find P!N20, the Treviso offerings are interesting in particular. If this is a 1990 catalogue then we are a little closure to figuring out when the cables went internal for the Treviso.

Thanks! The Veneto I found as a frame at an estate sale in rural Maine. The serial numbers are a little hard to read but I can clearly make out '719', and then I believe there is a space, and then an 'H'. The 'H' is under a big chip in the paint so it's hard to tell what it is, could easily be something else. I think it is >'90 because of the sticker in the second picture. This bike could have been repainted I , but I don't think so because the decals are shredding in the way that original Pinarello decals are known to, and if it was aftermarket then I imagine they would be stickers.
Also the head tube badge on yours is from the '89 version.

My Pinarello arrived on Friday. I unpacked it and assembled it. Checked the shifting, brakes, BB, and headset, all looked good and the only adjustment needed was the front brake.

I like the fork crowns too. Right now, I'm partial to the SA saddles, and I'm considering a white saddle. The tires are pretty new, but I do have some nice gumwalls that may go on next.

I very rarely buy a bike that is already built, but I did here.
Only change I've made: 70mm stem to fit, swapped Daytona calipers for Centaur, and added those Campy pedals.
I like it.
Centaur Ergo's, FD, RD, Crankset, calipers
Record hubs, Chorus cassette.
H+Son TB14 rims, Vittoria tires,
Chorus post, SSM Regal saddle,
Cinelli steering, Fizik Wrap.
I have a C-Record aero bottle and cage for it, but they look "blocky" on this bike.
Long-cage RD makes me think about a new Centaur 12-30 cassette, but I have other climbers.
