stationary bike seat post

My husband recently purchased a stationary bike for me. (I'm over 70 years old) The seat made it tortious to ride. I research seats and purchased one that looked comfortable and they said the mounting parts were adjustable. My bike seat stem is square and the mount is round. He says that the seat will not mount on this bike. Is there any thing that he can do? I think that the new seat looks like it would be comfortable.

Welcome to bike forums.

There are so many different standards, it’s tough to tell what you actually have.
Please provide more details of both Brand and Model for bike and saddle.

Don’t get frustraighted, let’s keep chatting about this. Once you hit 10 posts you’ll be able to include pictures.
Pictures may prove to be key for a solution.

Go to the INTRODUCTIONS forum, it’s good for a couple more posts.

All the best

Barry

I wonder if it's possible to transfer the saddle-mounting hardware from one saddle to the other?
