NOS set of Superbe Pro chainrings! Went I built the Krapf bike the near mint Superbe crank had black chainrings on it. At the time I swapped on some used Dura Ace chainrings but it continued to bug me. Found these at what seemed a reasonable price and pulled the trigger.

Somebody had to ask: what are "tourist levers" ?

I'm guessing it doesn't involve Hawaiian decoration or Elvis photos.

Here's more of the recent arrivals. Most of this has a particular bike to go on, but the Duo Par with the missing bolt is firmly a on principle hoarding acquisition.

The Seat post is for a Bridgestone RBT. I think I'll need to cut it down a bit.

The Huret Svelto Luxe set will go on a 650b Manufrance frame.

The 9 speed Dura ace bar ends are earmarked for a particularly ridiculous pit of sunk costs, that wont be discussed further until it finishes eating that kidney, and then go's for powder coat..

Absolutely opportunist purchase of a 152mm crankset. Not sure what I'll do with them. I think the rings are low mileage, but the modern rings look funny to me.

Time to try and rebuild the front wheel of my Gazelle A with longer spokes. Since the original measurement didn't work all that well.

Where did you buy your spokes?
I have several sets of wheels that I need to re-spoke with SS and looking to not having to pay more than I have to for several hundred spokes. TIA.

Try Marcus Moore at Yojimbo's Garage in Chicago. Good price, nice guy, great shop. He used to sell on eBay (the links on the blog page are broken), but now seems to confine himself to Chicago CL. Many items in this search will be his. He seems to have a Big Cartel store as well, though not sure how up-to-date it is. The various links show plenty of fixed gear stuff. He's one of the more prominent fixed gear peeps in Chicago and has serviced the fixie crowd over the years, as well as championing the ill-fated velodrome on the south side.

All the Gray Bits

These will all be going on a (best guess) late 70s Serotta I picked up here a little bit ago, it's a beautiful electric blue.

Both sets of levers could use a little cleaning, and all of this didn't arrive today but the last of it did so I feel like that still counts.

From 1990. Not an exact match for what would have been original on my recently-acquired '88 Centurion Ironman Carbon, but it's at least the right brand/model and color, matches the rest of the gruppo. I swapped the worn-out and mismatched rear pads with a pair of fresh (and matching) pads, along with the cosmetic cap on the front adjuster. Definitely looks more at home on the bike than the late-'90s Ultegras I originally built it with:
Wow, lower than my co-op. Nice score! I paid $12.50 for one older 600 brake. Not complaining (still an okay price), but celebrating with you!

Nothing Classic, Nothing Vintage. I just decided I wanted a modern bike (I have none after 1987). I decided I wanted a Gates belt system and a rohloff some time ago but very few bikes fit the bill. This one does so we will see. It may take a long time to build as being modern I have nothing to hang on it. It might not... The rohloff and gates system will take a while. But this will probably be my last as N+1 isn't working in my N-5 storage nightmare

Laser 8316 bit set, with JIS bits https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09R23B5...roduct_details
Sealey Ak6962 bit driver https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00K1UNJ...roduct_details

The bit driver has a socket in the non-ratchet end so it should make a decent saddlebag screwdriver.
