Mid-Drive E-Motor WITH Throttle (750W or lower)?

I'm looking for a pedal-assist (torque-based, NOT cadence-based) mid-drive e-motor that also includes a throttle. This would be for a tadpole recumbent trike.

AFAIK Bafang's 1000W Ultra fits this bill, but 1000W seems like a bit of overkill for me. Are there any manufacturers/models that would meet my needs at a lower wattage?

Thanks!

If 1000w Ultra fits the bill, just use that motor.
The controller is what limits the power output, program the controller to your desired performance and
the 1000w motor would have plenty of juice to spare and probably not wear out as quickly.
GL w/ur conversion.

Using Wattage is a crude way to guestimate the power output. It is like using fuel burned to compare gas engines. Newton meters or Nm is a measure of the available torque that the motor can provide which is what is important when going up a hill.

AFAIK, the Ultra is for OEM, not retrofit. The only torque based system that I'm aware of (although I know there are others) is by CYC. Bicycle Motorworks as well as others sell this kit. They rate the Stealth kit at 1500w, but that seems infeasible at 36V which can be used.
