I ride my mtn bike most of the time,

I ride my road bike to train,

I ride my BMX 24" cruiser, to practice jumping,

I ride my beach cruiser to ummmm the beach,

I have an old tandemn I'm rebuilding to ride around the neighborhood for fun!

I'm also building up a SS, but it's a SS mtn bike!

A road bike, a light touring/cyclocross bike, and a touring bike.

I'd've added cyclocross bikes to the poll; a lot of people use them as general-purpose heavy-duty road bikes.

See signature; 4 road bikes, one mountain bike. All see both general transportation and recreational use, and all but the Bianchi have rear racks.

Road bikes:
1) long-wheelbased Reynolds 531 classic
2) basic "10-speed"; cyclocross knobby tyres & gearing
3) general-purpose all-rounder
4) club / sport / male midlife crisis

Two road bikes: Trek 5200 and REI Novara Triompho. I'm thinking of selling the REI and getting a hardtail mtb instead.

Wow, looks like majority rides road or road racing bikes. Only one bmx and one recumbent out of 73 people voted.
Now we can use this as statistical information, to back up ideas during discussions

My regular road ride is a 1985 Ross, built in Allentown, PA. Weighs 32 pounds, ready to roll. Still looks like new.

Well, I ride two depending on the circumstances. A road bike for my main axe, and a very comfy hybrid for commuting and for when I need to haul things around.
