Inversion Tables

Anyone used one of these? I've heard some good things and am willing to try it but need some info on quality tables and sources to buy from.

There was a post on here sometime back about by one of our members.

He hooked himself up in one at home, on a cold day, in the garage, by himself, after omitting to install some portion of the quick release.

He was upside down and couldn't get out of it when the timer cut the lights off in the garage.

Since he posted the story I guess he lived.

I have one. It did not help me in anyway.

I've been using one for a few months now. I'm not sure if it helps, or if it's the chiropractor, but my back's better than it has been in years.
The next step is to see if it will make me enough taller that I won't need to lose weight!

Well, you could probably try one. If you have lower back problems, it could help. I have heard that some people get relief this way.

I have one, but haven't used it long enough to say if it helps or not. Still getting used to progressively increase the down angle.
I bought one from Sprawl Mart, the Golds Gym model. Seems strong and durable so far.
One thing I'm hoping it may help with is a bit of benign vertigo I've had for several years. Doing those middle ear exercises while reclined on it, but again, haven't had it long enough to tell if it works or not.

I too have the Golds Gym model from Wally World...it is the best $100 I have ever spent. I have lower back compressed discs and it really helps to relieve the pressure. Used for 3-5 minutes several times a week for maintenance, or more often when I "over do it" with some type of activity. I have not been to the chiro in the three years since I got it. As usual, your mileage may vary, but I will not be without one.

And as a side benefit, it really helps with your core strength when you do a few sit-ups while on it. I just wish I was disciplined enough to do em' every time I get on it.

I have one & get relief with it. I think mine is a " Body Champ , " & cost $125. When setting one up, don't let table go below a 45° angle, & only use it for a few mintes at a time. I, also use a bar, like a chin-up type bar that I hang on everyday. Both help me.
I would advise to ask your Dr. if it is OK to use one. Using an inversion table while taking certain medications is not good,,,, I was told.

This thread and DnvrFox's recent mention of being helped by inversion tables have me seriously considering trying one out to supplement the exercises I now do for my lower back. I think I'll talk with my company's wellness coordinator and see what he thinks about them.

Inversion table is a real sore spot in our household. The wife said she wanted one. Hubby buys it as a gift. Wife wants to know why hubby has bought her a torture device?

I have used it sporadically and don't know if it does anything or not. Seems to be relaxing.

The post about the guy getting stuck in one for hours was hilarious however.

I bet he didn't think so.

Is it me or does Mr. Teeter in his commercial look like his head is ready to explode when he gets off and says "I feel great!" It looks so red from all the blood that rushed in it

I had an inversion table. It was very relaxing and even fun to use. After 2 years we decided it was in the way and wasn't used enough to justify the lose of space so out the door it went.
