Looking for advice on exercise bike purchase
Hi all,
My office is putting in a gym (really, putting in a shower/lockerroom next to an open room where equipment will be housed), and I'm looking for advice on a decent exercise bike to purchase for it. I'm not a gym person, so I don't have any experience with spin classes, etc. I try to ride my bike outdoors as much as I can (in Boston), and when I'm inside at home I'm on a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine.
I've no idea where to start in researching a stationary exercise bike. I'm willing to spend a fair bit, but am not sure what I get for, say, $200 v. $400 v. $2,000.
Any advice or pointing to helpful guides would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan

one that can connect to zwift or trainnerroad would be ideal like one of the stages https://stagescycling.com/global/indoor/

high end spin bike = peloton (w/ online spin classes)
high end trainer = Kickr or Taxc Neo + your bike) + pc/laptop + ant dongle + ant hr strap + Zwift or Trainerroad or rouvy etc
lots of other options are out there too, but the high end trainer is probably most effective for structured workouts. peloton spin bike might be more engaging for non structured workouts. really depends on your preferences.

So, this office gym equipment, are you talking about something for your own use in the space made available, or are you selecting something your colleagues will use as well?

I'll be the one using it the most, but others will also be able to use it. Likely no more than 8 users of the "gym"
