25mm OK?
I've tried doing research on what size tires fit on what size rims and I'm totally lost! So I'll just ask here hoping someone can give me a quick answer. My Bianchi Pista's rims are ETRTO are 622-18. I want to put a set of Conti Gatorskins on them but would rather run 25mm than the current 23mm tires. Will that work? I suspect it will but I'd like confirmation. Thanks in advance!

Whatever floats your boat (er. bike).
The same rim will accept a large range of tire widths and 25mm is well within the range for your rims. Here's a rough guide to the tire/rim width fits. Note the rim width is inside width, and the tire width is outside or overall.
It's a bit conservative, since tires beyond the range work fine too, but anything within the recommended range is perfectly fine.

Fitting the tires to your rims is absolutely no problem. Just be sure the fork and the frame's rear stays and brake bridge will clear the larger tires.

+1 The frame/fork is much more often the limiting factor than the rim. Your rims will handle 25mm tires no problem. This is one of the newer "fixie" Pistas, right? If so I would expect it to take 25mm tires just fine. If, however, it was a legitimate vintage track bike that size might even be too much. Old track bikes are known for having extremely tight tire clearances, because nothing but the narrowest tires are ever needed on a track.

I've got a 24mm rim and I'm riding 622-50 tires on it, no problem. You have nothing to worry about.

Way more than you want to know: our tandem has Velocity Dyads which are 622-18 (18 is the inside width) and we run 37-622 Schwalbe Marathon tires on it.

My rims are velocity, I'm pretty sure dyads, and I remembered them as 24mm -- maybe that's the outside width? And my tires are Schwalbe Marathon Supreme 622-50 (which mounted are actually only 45mm wide)
