VO Toe clips - what size?

Hello everyone. I'm thinking about ordering some VO Stainless Toe Clips. They are at a good price I think - $9.00 a pair - normal price $18.00. They come in medium and large. The description says the distance they stick out from the pedal is 58mm or 64mm, for medium or large, respectively. What size do you all think I should order for size 10.5 US or 44/45 Eu shoes (non cleated Adidas five - ten something or others) . These would be for regular Campy or MKS quills.

Thanks
Thomas

If I were you I would look for vintage toe clips on eBay. The chroming on new stuff is garbage and they will rust on you.

I really like velo orange stuff but they don't manufacture their stuff, nowadays it is all the same substandard stuff.

Buy the VO clips in the large size (64mm horizontal length). I have the same 10.5 (44) foot, and with a thin racing shoe, the VO clips will be a good fit. I'm currently using a Christophe Special toe clip (62mm length) along with a 2mm spacer plate to get the same 64mm horizontal length.

If your shoes are thicker, you may want to consider the MKS tall toe clip, although I found those clips to be a bit too tall and long.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going with large. I found an old set of pedals that I used back in the day and I had medium Christophe clips on them, and had them shimmed out with about 4 washers on each screw. Back then I wore 9 1/2 shoes with cleats. Those shoes don't come close to fitting anymore.
