In addition to Pradun's blog, read this one: https://thetourdechris.blogspot.com/2...superweek.html
He won.
List of overall for 4/5, it's about 5 feet long. MJH2 is about here, but he's on there!

Downer Ave Part Duex.
Good racer turnout. David Veliux showed up for Kelly Benefit and stole the show via a five man lead out for two laps despite a $1,000 prime on the bell that was won by Brad Huff. Good crowd but not as big as Dairyland's Downer. No real parties on the back straight and no 'Super Prime'. Still a success though.
Got a few pix to share from this morning's adventures in just a bit.
Oh, no video from Downer Ave ... we lost the camera. It was there at the half way point when Loberg went into the pit for a flat, but gone at the end. I walked the course after - nil. Will put an ad in Craigslist to see if it shows up.

Bummer about the camera. I saw it on his bike before the race. Did you give it the zip tie treatment? I'm amazed it was able to escape.

Oh ... rub it in.
No .... I was in a hurry and didn't zip tie it. I only had one along and it wouldn't reach.
Oh, the lessons we learn from Superweek, eh? I got off easy, I didn't loose a carbon wheel or frame.

Oh yeah, GoPro is coming out with a new model video camera ... DVD quality video and up to 3 hours run time. Zip ties for sure next time. Got an email from track World Champion Hayden Godfrey (New Zealand) who raced in Kenosha, looking for more photos of their team. Guess I'm doing something right.

Tom I'm going for a ride at 5:15pm, so I'll be back around 8ish if you want to get the PT cradle.
I did a 4.75hr ride yesterday, so no way was I racing today.

I'll bet there are a whole bunch of people out there who don't race bikes and don't quite understand how that could happen. I've been there and (almost) done that several times.
Speaking of Joel, he won Chicago today. That's I think, 30 upgrade points in a little over 72 hours? He did it in a watered down field of 125 riders, too.

Lots of stories, lots of photos, but speaking of upgrades - Mark Howe, after clinching his 3's overall jersey, was kicked out of the 3's and made to ride 100k in a Euro packed Pro 1/2 field today. (emphasis on Pro). I know Recursive and Frunkin had a few words with him after, maybe they can relay what he had to say.
Summary from Whitefish Bay, last day of Superweek: Not a huge turn out, but pretty good. A solid home town race with medium sized fields and fast racing. Very enthusiastic and supportive fans and everybody had a great time. Lots of praise from the top Euro Pros on the final podium tonight.
Tons of pix.

I was off the front trying to go through a tight turn as fast as possible. Ultimately, it may have been possible to get through that corner at the speed I was going, but I was not a guy who could do it.
Part way through the turn I saw that I was not going to make it and bailed into a driveway.
Incidentally, a different rider did the same thing on a corner in my race yesterday.
I blogged it up. https://tomtheisen.com/blog/

I did that once at the Madison Capitol Concourse crit., as the field set up for turn one (from where the S/F was this year) way over there on the outside I saw plenty of room on the inside to move to the front and ZOOOOM through the turn. I approached the apex at warp speed and then found the outside curb coming to me at warp speed! Scraping the sides of my Mavic aluminum rims on the curb was bad enough, but that bus shelter just over the curb was really scary.
Lesson learned: Practice your turns in training.
