Can a Cat Eye measure elevation change?

Can a Cat Eye measure elevation change?
I'm looking to buy a new bike computer. I'm looking at either a Cat Eye or Garmin. Obviously the price of a Cat Eye is very appealing. The most important features I'm interested in is an odometer, speed, avg speed, max speed, distance, time and cadence. I dont really think I need a HRM since I'm 18 and quite in shape. I would really like a way to measure elevation change but isn't totally necessary. Would I have to step up to a Garmin to get that feature? Also what do you guys recommend for my needs?

I have a Cat Eye Adventure. It measures altitude and slope. The slope feature is a bit slow, but it works. I'm liking it a lot, on the whole. It doesn't do cadence, though, and its not a HRM.

I have a cateye that I like on my new bike, and not quite as nice a computer on the old one. I wish they could tell me the temperature, plus altitude and could save my historic routes. But they have an odometer for the bike, and my current/avg/max speed.
I've got a Garmin (Oregon) which does the altitude, and my history. I don't really find it that useful to know that I'm at 360 ft above sea level right now, so much as to be able to make an elevation plot for a ride, and to compare these ( using time and not distance for the x-axis ) against previous rides. The batteries die on the Garmin, though, and I don't have a complete history for it ... so the odo is a lot more accurate on the cateye.

Specialized speedzone pro does altitude, slope and temperature and can measure cadence although I don't believe it comes with a cadence sensor...
On the other hand it is really annoying to use...
