Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was born in CT. My ancestral home - the one below, the land of which has been in the family for over a dozen generations - is in CT, through my paternal line. Mom, on the other hand, grew up across Boulder, Houston, and Rochester, but favored Boulder above the others and retired there shortly after I moved to god-forsaken Austin.

Parents divorced before I got to 8th grade. Mom was still in CT until that move. Because we enjoy ,visiting Boulder anyway, we see her on those trips (and soon, constantly). So we describe visiting CT as visiting my family, because it's the literal entire rest that I'm close to. Mom's side has a few spread from Binghamton to Concord, CA and I hardly know them.

I'm glad; that is a good cause. Please be aware that some people have sensory processing disorders and excess noise causes us undue stress. There are PSA ads and Sesame Street videos about it. It honestly makes me want to be a shut-in.

You talking about the “Big Front Seat”? Supposed to be a bit more spacious, but that’s about it.

I’ve been in AA first class seats that looked like they were retrieved from the dump.

It's much more impressive than I grew up; it looks Yellowstone. That house is nice. I grew up down the road, in one with rippled floors that my grandfather wired for power with lamp wire. The old farmhouse had random dog crap in closets. Then my aunt married well, the new one was built... and he decided to cheat on her. Nice of him to build us an awesome house first.

Also the old farmhouse burned down maybe 30 years ago and was replaced with a nice modular that now has a three-car garage with lift and full hydraulic and pneumatic tool set. The house I grew up in... has not changed much.

There's almost no point to normal first class. This one made a difference.

When I got home from the ride Saturday my neighbor was blasting his music loud enough so I could hear every word inside my house. Mrs John was pretty upset but I didn't confront him because they've been pretty good for months and I hate asking them to turn it down. Finally, after 3+ hours we were both getting headaches and irritable so I went out and asked him to turn it down. It makes my anxiety go through the roof.

I've never done that, blast music into somebodies house. I've never made noise here except when doing yard work.
