Not vintage, not steel, hardly classic and I had to get it by car, a half an hour ride.
I did get this from a (online) cycling pal, for free.
It has a nice ride, the handlebar has to go down some spacers.Great for daily rides in the village and with the Mrs.
My day is good and what a beautiful people there are in the world.

Not bike related other than used to photo them, I have been replacing my older/less quality lenses with some used/better ones. Very likely the last lenses that I will buy.

24-105mm f4 and an 85mm f1.8
Best, Ben

Someone brought me this, including the ball bearing rings in the small round box.
He said he did not know if it was complete.

The folks running Bruce Gordon Cycles are a class act! I purchased a pair of toe clips last Monday, and three days later they arrived here in Eugene. A very kind gesture included...

Btw, if anyone knows the meaning and backstory to chicken and egg (or is that a rooster), I’d love to hear it.

No idea on the backstory, but BG had a sense of humor to be sure so who knows. My BG was made in Eugene when he split from Eisentraut, built there for ten years, then returned to Calif. where he stayed till the end.

Here are some close-ups but no completes.

And here around 1980 going for a ride with Merz and DiNucci leaving from Jim's shop on 21st and Everett, BG in the back, look at that HT.

A couple of these pins definitely suggest a sense of humor. Who knows, perhaps they reflect was an inside joke.

Anyhow, your frame looks to exemplify exquisite lug work. The fast back seat stays remind me of the Gary Hale that passed through my hands. The only bit of C&V I regret letting go of.

Complete photos of your BG are welcome anytime.

Something alot newer than C&V. I cracked my first set and these arrived today.

Zipp SL Aero

Just waiting on a new set of R8000 shifters to arrive to complete the build. Unfortunately the used shifters I previously purchased had a broken spring inside only worked when the shifter was titled upwards.

Simplex derailleur and Huret shifter from rhm for the Automoto. I'll have to do a little digging to find out if the derailleur can be mated to my Simplex dropout. We shall see.

Edit: The entry in Velobase suggests all I need to do is take apart the upper assembly and substitute the dropout for the claw...

But the claw is the coolest part of it all!
