I have this Raleigh Deore bike I’m trying to figure out the year it was made. The Serial number is R57-44294. Does anyone know what these numbers mean? Thx

There will be date codes many of the components, such as on the rear derailleur. From these, you can determine the rough year of manufacture, if these are original equipment.

I was about to start yelling and then I opened the thread and was like oh yeah they did make a bike called the Deore not just the Shimano component. It is a neat old bike would love to see better pics of it though.
