Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like the current look. Just going with white bar tape might look pretty nice though (or maybe even go with a bold red or something).

If you go with white tape you should switch to white hoods, too.

I think it will be white overload.

Stem, spacers, top cap and seat all should go to white. Black bar tape is still ok. There's a bike like that I see often and it actually is easy on the eyes.

I had the white stem and bar tape on my white Giant TCR. It didn't look too good.

To give you an idea, here's my TCR with the white tape. I've replaced the stem with the black one since.

I'll be replacing the tape to black once it wears out. I've changed the saddle to black already.

Keep the current look. I like it the way it is.

If the frame was black with white lettering I would say yes. The white frame is enough white. I think you should leave it as is.

White Hudz are terrible. After about 6 months of everyday use, the rubber starts to deteriorate and become sticky.

I think it looks great just like it is but I would agree the red bar tape to match that little stripe on the seat post would look awesome.

I vote that you change the frame color to neon green.

Haaaaaaa I see what you did there.

I have a white bike with black logos and left the seat and tape black. Nobody likes grimy bar tape.

On a bike decorated like yours you need a balance of both the black and the white. I'm not sure whether going white up front would accomplish anything. I'm afraid it would look "washed out". I don't think you can improve on what you have. I would just leave it. Besides, the longevity of black tape is much greater than white. Except for minimally padded microfiber tape like Fizik's, white is almost impossible to keep clean.

I have no problem cleaning the white Deda tape I use. It takes about 5 minutes with soapy water and a green scrubby.

Love the current look dude, sort of "stealthy" and you don't have to worry about white tape getting dirty!

I think a white stem would look good. Or you could do just white tape. Don't do both.
