Hi from Monica and Andy.
Hi, we are over 50 over weight and out of shape, planning on a 6 month trip next year!!!
We are going to be leaving out from Midland TX March, head down to Antelope Wells and Crazy Cook over the next month or so and do the GDMBR nobo. Hopefully we can contribute to the group and get plenty of advice in return.
LOL yes we do have a realistic plan .. ... I think....

Not sure what a GDMBR is???
I like the confidence.
Watch the weather, fried in Texas = not a good outcome.
Never underestimate the determination of old people.
clear you handlebars and your mind will follow.

We both have Fargo's with Salsa rear racks, anything cages and EXP handlebar bag up front, Rogue Panda frame bag and Revelate feed bags. Going to use 20l Ortliebs on the back. Our base weight for gear is about 25lbs each which is about our backpacking loadout with a few extra luxuries. We will probably add a few extra electronics and camera gear as we will be gone for awhile and do not really have a way to resupply equipment.
