Your cog is slipping.
Hahaha...there's actually a kid here in town who rides one of these:
I always see him hauling ass on the sidewalk downtown.

If it is legit, that's a pretty good price...
Single Speed 1986 Shwinn Madison Track Frame - $225 (NE Portland)
Black 1986 Shwinn Madison 58cm that I paid 350 for and have put new top of the line brakes on. I've purchased a new bike and don't need this one any more. It needs a little love to make it really pretty but this could be a really cool bike with a small amount of effort. Rides and functions fine.

Fixed Gear Pista with Street Cred - $300
For sale is a blue 2009 Bianchi Pista FG. However, this bike is different than your run of the mill fixed gears. First, you will notice it has an upgraded front wheel and some Nitto Bullhorns. Why, you may ask. Well, because while doing a track stand at a stop sign in NE Portland, I was hit head on by a soccer mom in a mini van who claimed she didn't see me or notice she was on the wrong side of the road because she was on her cell phone (there is also a ever so slightly warped steerer tube). Plus, with this bike comes a full set of photos of the accident scene, to include blood and broken bones. It has SKS fenders for riding in the rain, which it has been, for years, but always dried off afterwards and stored inside. There is no rust, which amazes me. I always oiled the drive train, so it does run smooth, although it does creak because it has the cheap stock cranks. It also has a set of worn Gatorskins with actual skids, to impress your friends, and a panic brake, used once (to see if it works). I got enough from the insurance proceeds to get a new bike, so I did. So, if you are looking for a bike that was well cared for, and although it may not be the most recent hipster bike, this one is pretty solid and will last for years. Oh, the paint is perfect by the way.
