On our local Craigslist, which is usually dominated by overpriced junk and neglected department store bikes, this odd duck suddenly pops up. Not Campagnolo's best performer, but looks to be in decent condition and not outrageously priced:

The Elance came out after I had left Trek, so I don't have authoritative information. The tubing decal only claims 531 3 main tubes, but at that point in Trek's history, they were aggressively transitioning to non-steel frames and the Elance was a means of using up steel inventory. It wouldn't surprise me if some were actually all 531, just to use up those tubes.

When is search of bikes North of the pond I just use the "Search this Thread," button in the upper right hand corner. Simply type in Kijiji, go to the last page (most recent listings), and look away! On the other hand, doing this can make you quickly realize how little is posted from Kijiji.
