My KCNC Ti skewers have literally disintegrated
After my century ride to the beach this weekend I took the bike out back and gave it a good wash down. Took out the skewers to clean them out and regrease. As I took them out, they literally fell apart! I contacted KCNC in hopes for a warranty replacement. Only had them for 5 months!!

tiss the price you pay indeed, but that should not happen.
Who knows what happened to that batch of Ti, or probably AL for those bits in the factory.

They're also not that light weight compared to other designs. I use those myself. I'm a weight weenie, but to an extent.

No, I'm saying the Zipp Ti skewers are not that light compared to other designs. For me, reliability is paramount. There are certain areas I'm not willing to save weight as the #1 priority, and these are mainly related to comfort and safety, such as saddle, pedals, brake calipers, cables, etc.

My boss had set of the red ones. The lever on one snapped when he went to release it, and I after looking at it up close I thought it looked like pretty cheap Chinese stuff. If it were me I'd just cut my losses and not bother with the warranty replacement. Next time maybe spring the extra four bucks for the Zipps.

I have 4 sets of KCNC and never had an issue. Like someone asked above, perhaps you had them on too tight??? This shouldn't be the case though...

Not that this is my recommended solution for everyone, but I replaced some crazy light skewers with some DA ones. This caused the creaking noises to stop and the rear brakes stopped rubbing when I climb. I judge that to be worthwhile.

I will stick with my Shimano DA skewers I really like the cam design they really secure your wheel are very easy and smooth to close and open.

The best skewers I've used are the velocity internal cam ones. I might try the shimano 105 ones. The sram ones seem worse than the giant ones that came on my bike.
