Help needed with identification! Italian frame? Possibly colnago sport?

I got it off of fb marketplace. Guy said he built it himself. It has mostly italian components, but I’m in trouble with the frame. It’s been painted over and got colnago decals. Original color was red. No serial number, just a ‘0’ on the bottom bracket. Gipiemme dropouts, which makes me think it’s italian. Any help would be appreciated, I would love to know more.

OP's Album.

(If you could, would you please post photos of full bike, drive side preferably, the underside of the bottom bracket shell, the steerer tube and dropouts of the forks? It will inform the discussion and aid in identifying this frame with a "Faggin"(?) forks.)

I'm not a specialist but far as I know Colnago did not use Gipiemme drop outs. Faggin did.

I think so too. Also Colnago did not typically use those lugs (look a bit like a Prugnat "S-4" with the side windows, but not exactly) and can't tell but the stay caps also may be non-typical for Ernesto's builders. The Colnago Sport model I have seen pix of, being a budget frame, DID use GPM dropouts, sometimes, but the lugs had shorter sockets, no side cutouts...however I'm sure there were some variations over time.
However, a good Faggin frame is nothing to sniff at!

Ah there were pix in the "album" I missed, but no, those stay caps are nothing like a typical Colnago, nor the fluted style that at least one of the "Sports" models used. Could be a Faggin frame or could be only the fork is...

I don't see anything that says it's a Faggin. Does the seller perhaps have a Dutch or Belgian connection?

The top of the fork crown is engraved "Faggin" in the photograph above.

Assuming the fork is original, I am guessing an early 80s Faggin Aelle-Gara level frame

A picture of the bottom of the BB shell... and full look at the rear dropout...would really help.

I don't think anyone disputes that the fork is Faggin made, but I agree with @non-fixie that the frame does not resemble any of the (few) Faggins I have seen.

Yes, sorry. I should have been more clear. Of course, the fork is a Faggin item. But I doubt the frame is. The details remind me more of bikes like this Jan Janssen Tour de France. Sold by a Dutchman, made by a Belgian. In this particular case Vaneenooghe:
