That Cannondale is a 27 inch. I don't believe I have ever seen one. AFAIK these were special-order items. A great find if you need that size.

I guess the seller of the 56cm Univega Gran Rally figured out it was priced too low-

Here is a 1984ish Lotus Legend, 60cm- not original and not a museum-piece, but appears to be a worthy rider anyway. Listed at $258-

https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/bik/7401857425.html

And since we're all going to go look at the website now, here is that link, via waybackmachine:

1975? Motobecane Nomade? 56CM?

I know very little about French bikes, but this one is in my back yard and if interesting - I may be able to help. It is listed in Hot Springs, Ark. There is a great local bike shop that may be able to pack it, ship, etc. Not sure if these have collector interest or not.

The Nomade is a lower level bike. Generally, a bike with safety brake levers, stem shifters, and a kick stand have little collector interest.

Gotcha, makes sense - I messaged the seller to see if he knew anything about it and he doesn't, he offered it at $75...I already have too many $75 bikes that people don't want LOL.

Schwinn Town and Country tandem

FB Marketplace ad says

"1955 schwinn tandem bike rides great drum brakes town n country"

Springfield, IL seller asking $200. I love those ultra-wide stoker bars! It's way too small for me, but i'm still trying to talk myself into it!

Yes, and yes.

It gets a little convoluted, but Gordon decided at some point that only the bikes that were built in-house would be called "Bruce Gordon."

For a while, he had his "Rock'n Road" frames made in Japan; either to order or as off-the-rack models. Maybe they were called Basic Loaded Touring ("BLT") instead of Rock'n Road, I don't remember.

He definitely had a run of his own knock-offs made in Taiwan, though it appears to have been a bit of nightmare. He had some remarks about this in an interview with, I believe, bikeradar.

I bought one of the Taiwan made "BLT" bikes, frame and racks in 2013 and built it up a few different ways. This iteration is from a couple years ago. As far as I know, all versions of his standard touring bike had the unicrown fork. I'm not a fan of the aesthetics, but it's one heck of a do-everything bike. The frame, incidentally, is stiff as all-get-out, and it's "heavy" but in the end, it weighs 2,700 grams... my Cannondale ST600 frame (without fork) weighs 2 kg. It's not that much different.

Of course, by the time I'd added everything you see here, plus the front rack, the bike weighed 36 lbs, which I thought was a bit much. The 40 mm Schwalbes have a lot to do with that.
cheers -mathias

I don't know if Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koos are much in demand, but this one (neglected, but said to shift and brake well) seems like it might be well worth the $100 ask.

I don’t think the Trek ones have much following but as much as I don’t want a 26” wheel bike I’d buy a good condition early one, especially the attractive red and white one made in Mexico.
