Masi Nuova Strada - NOS

A Masi Nuova Strada frame in Columbus SLX-SP. I suspect some may pooh-pooh that it is not a 3V or Grand Criterum, but I recall looking at frame angles and being pleased with the Nuova Strada. Most important is that it is red! This frame has been previously built up and there are a couple areas where touch up paint has been applied (I bought it in this condition almost 20 years ago), but there is no evidence of any road miles and the chrome is pristine, so I think still fair to say NOS.

Seems more like a 61cm to me, but stamped 62.

As I understand it, SP tubes were mixed with SLX to improve rigidity on large frames…I think 60cm is where many builders started adding an SP tube.

New Old Stock to me means just that, never assembled as an entire bike.

easy to determine the tubing as no bottom bracket- rifiling - X, smooth SL or SP.
the frame appears nice.
challenging time to sell.
this was a subordinate model, probably made by Mondonico in Italy, never saw the Vigorelli.

geometry was in the sizes I have referenced - more like a Pinarello of the period.

trying to conjure up a value but with the very soft market right now, difficult. Probably less than you would like. Full bikes in reasonable shape of this model seem to sit at $600.

Looks legit to me interesting that fork and frame look to have been made several years apart.

Why do you say this frame doesn’t match the fork…made several years apart?
