Can You Identify Me? Bike Art

I have this lovely cycling poster, but am not able to answer the question when I am asked what bike is it? Looks like something from the 1970’s based on center-pull brake and toe clips/straps. Can anyone tell by the head tube badge?

Looks like you can find out from the man himself. The same print is still being sold in his online store.

"John D Wibberley Cycle Art - Original "Mountain Bike" Print LithographSize: 13" x 34""

Something tells me the artist is better at producing art than remembering details.

I actually think it's beautiful, which can sometimes be the result of a creative mind with an unfamiliar medium or subject.

I see wide 27" tires, downtube shifters, and center-pulls with cable routing that makes me think late 70's or early 80's.

Whatever it was, it was probably fun to ride.

It’s a Galmozzi, but I am concerned about the front cable routing.

Unless the artist also made a drive side print of it, it will be hard to tell for certain. I'm guessing something Japanese, middle tier from the bike boom.

All I know is that @SurferRosa is disturbed by the unequal height of the brake cables.

'90s rainbow fade Unobtanium - retromodded for panache.

edit: Don't let @Bianchigirll see this, she might have to Ugly Betty this project with a front handlebar champagne holder.

Great idea!

I think my old Royce Union was the model for that abstract.

I dunno -- the artist also sells a similar print of a mountain bike. I think if he is at least of aware of the broad taxonomy, then maybe he is paying attention to the details. Maybe it's a bike in his garage. I know I can solve the mystery and end the speculation myself by picking up my own phone, but where's the fun in that?

The white background is invading the object, causing distortion. Dented right fork blade? Not bad for coffee-shop art, though.
