Thorn Nomad
Need some opinions.
Would this make a good unloaded gravel trail bike?
It's for sale locally.

Other than being wary regarding reach to the handlebars w/ 90s mountain bikes, especially for a woman, I see no reason why this bike wouldn't be kick@ss. My only thought is that an all black/silver bike may not be an attractive ride to your girlfriend. Not to assume anything. But, just like us, they care about their ride looks.

I also got this German 'trekking' bike for the bach.
My mum loves it for riding into town to do some shopping. She hates the colour though.
This is a nice riding bike, but it's hard to load on bike racks.
Would probably do a similar swept bar on the Thorn

A shorter riser stem and some riser swept back bars and it would be sweet. I like it.

I would say Yes, defintely ... The Nomad is already.built to be an on/offroad tourer... It was designed for gravel long before so-called "gravel bikes" started showing up.
