Velcro Bike Rack Anybody?

I will say that the seller provided a good list of parts, but it is an awfully expensive build for an $800 frame.

That set up then might need some longer reach calipers then. Doesn't Tektro make some extra long reach CatStoppers™?

Lose the kickstand, dude! The light mount is probably to keep you from breaking any teeth on your handlebars on an emergency stop. Despite its very pedestrian component group, it is Campy-based. I think this bike is probably ashamed to be seen in public...

One thing that attracts me to these pre-bike-boom European bikes (but especially the Italians) is that even the cheaper ones are nicely finished, even if the tubing is gas pipe. Chrome socks and head lugs are par for the course.

Well, fortunately there is a FREE bicycle in Bend, Oregon.
A little on the small size, but hopefully the person is flexible with their requirements.

And, yes, I can ride a bike this small... but not for very far.

There are plenty of bikes for less than $50 for sale at the local thrift stores. But most of them need a little tinkering.

Living in the walmart-free wonderland of Portland, I had never even *seen* a GMC Denali.

Then I moved to Corvallis, and started seeing these bicycles named after an SUV all over the place. I had a bunch of weird theories about what they are and where they came from. I was really disappointed to learn they were just a wally-world special.

And track bars......TRACK BARS!!!!! How can you put a price on red cranks and track bars. Those 2 things can increase the value 5 times of any bike.

I never understood why you would name a supposedly "light weight" road bicycle after a 3 ton SUV?

Yeah, the first time I saw one I assumed that it must have come as some sort of package option with the SUV, but then I started seeing more and more of them, and realized that couldn't be the case.

You managed to get an extra https:// in your link.

What an odd bike. The paint work and decal work is excellent.

Being a lugged frame, I'd be curious to see close-ups of the head tube lug and the seat tube lug (which both still appear to be on the frame, but without enough detail to see how they were repaired).

It has been proudly hanging on a wall in my home for the many weeks i have owned it.
Perhaps Schwinn bikes are better as wall art than riders.

It may actually be worth putting an offer in on it... more for curiosity than anything else.

Forget the fact that this is a low end, alcohol branded fixie. They took 4 subtly different non-dive side photos. That's the current record.

Not a bad deal if the components weren't damaged in the crash.

Might have been a roof rack/garage collision victim.

OUCH!!!!
If that Specialized was local, I'd be on my way to pick it up right now.
It isn't' the top of the line, but the combined components are worth well over $125.
2 wheels.
Carbon Forks.
Are those 10s shifters?

The ad could use a better description of the components as I have no doubt the frame will be stripped. But it would make an excellent "donor bike" for a low cost frame up build.

Pretty sure that specialized was stolen, and the frame damage came from forcing the u lock. I just can't physically see how the downtube would be buckled *outwards* any other way.

Yes, you're probably right.

If my bike was stolen, you can bet I'd be watching CL like a hawk!

I ride that same crankset.

That bike is in super nice condition, but you're right, there's no way it's worth $900.
