TP wheel, eh? Gives new meaning to the term "skid marks."

If that were a smaller frame it might be worth half that.

BTW: Here is the ad.

I'm thinking it may be a Specialized Sequoia from around 2004/2005.

Is that only 8s, Tiagra/Sora? Perhaps I'd lower my expectations slightly.

Anyway, it looks quite original in the photo, which puzzles me.

Here is a Cannondale that took a front impact.
The fork survived. However, the frame and front wheel were toast.

The Specialized above appears to have both the original front wheel and original fork. I wonder if the wheel is round. That would tell one a lot.

If I toasted a frame like that trying to jack off a U-Lock, then you can bet the frame would be stripped, then melted down for sand castings, and sold as artwork.

Trek 50cm ZX Series 2120 Carbon Fiber Bicycle Road Bike - $500 (Missoula)

This is a Trek ZX Series Carbon Fiber framed bike. 50cm frame. Awesome road bike, rides like new! Picked this up recently for a friend, but it wasn't to her taste. I put a a lot of work into it, such as upgraded shifters, new brakes, and all new cables throughout the bike. Full tune up and every aspect of the bike was inspected and repaired if necessary. Rides like new. Wish I could keep it but is a bit too small for me and I already have a bike. The stock 'brifters' (combined brakes and shifters) were removed due to their need to be repaired frequently and coddled, so I have replaced them with separate brake/shifter mechanisms, which vastly improved shift ease and dexterity.

(He forgot to rotate the handlebars up 90 degrees...)

These frames alone go for over 300 dollars on eBay, so for this bike it's a steal! Local pickup only, unless you are seriously interested and would pay for it to be ground shipped to where you live. Then we could figure something out.
Oh please!! Can I spend even MORE on this bike??? Me me me me me!!!

Cool "Upgrades", going from the modern standard to the cheapest of the cheap from 30 years ago.

Does the silver rim on the front and black on the rear make it go faster?
And, machined sidewalls on the rims just waste material, right?

I will say the purple is cute.

It looks to me like he did a bare-frame build using junk parts from the scrap bin.

CANNONDALE JEKYLL 400...MTN BIKE FRAME

I guess it's not a bad buy, if you have the swing arm. Otherwise, why buy it.

My guess is that it was bought because somebody had a bad swing arm to replace, and couldn't just buy half a frame.

The "blue-book" value of the complete bike is $200 to $350.
2004 Cannondale Jekyll 400 - New and Used Bike Value

I wonder how many bikes just have serious damage to the front triangle? Perhaps the famous garage door damage?

Vegas is a big city, but I think this is one of those things that is best put up on E-Bay with a "Buy-It-Now" price + a "Make Offer" option, especially since it has been up on Craigslist for 3 weeks now. Reposted?

And look! Someone forced an English-threaded BB cup into it! As Rocky said to Bullwinkle, but that trick never works!

Oh, I thought someone had just tried to straighten the forks... (because straight forks are better).

But that one has a bent TT and DT too.

The seller must have gotten the wrong currency symbol.

Instead of $60, he meant to post 60¢ or perhaps 60¥

The Bottecchia looks like a moderate valued classic. Some nice chrome.

With horizontal dropouts and a "Claw", it would be a good candidate for a fixed gear conversion. But, obviously not there now.

I have an old raleigh with a 69CM frame. I can only imagine shifting those downtube shifters. What a hoot that would be to ride. Full campy and only $900 bucks.

Old Campy. & Sewups too.

To ride that bike, I'd have to have 6" platform shoes. I've ridden with DT shifters most of my life, but I agree those look awfully low. Hopefully the person riding the bike also has long arms. I would expect the bike to also have a longer TT. The double top tube is interesting. Is it functional, or just cosmetic?
