Hard to place that one.
The seller copied from this page, I think.
Scott Scale Junior 24 kids' bike review - BikeRadar USA

And looking at new Scott bikes, they are expensive.
Scott Scale JR 24 - TEAM Cycling & Fitness

The problem is that the bike for sale looks more like the typical Department Store bike than the high end Scott bikes that are coming out today.
Note the chromoly unicrown fork, whereas the new ones have suspension.
And the CLAW.
The Scott Scale Junior is supposed to include the Shimano HG30 7-speed CASSETTE. What does the Craigslist bike have?
The Scale JR is supposed to have front and rear QR, the one above appears to be bolt-on for both front and rear.

What year is this? Maybe late 90's, or early 2000's?

There are several moderate quality aspects of the bike, so perhaps at $100 it would be better than new $100 department store bikes.
Aluminum would be nice, and many kid's bikes are far too heavy. I'm not a big fan of bike suspension.

Cantilever brakes, steel frame. My guess:
1996 Scott Team Jr

Could be older than Bikepedia, too. The RD is a Tourney but I don't know if Tourney still looked like that by the mid 90's

Ahhh...
You're right.

So it is steel, and not aluminum.

So, $25 or so

Maybe a little more. It looks like it is in good shape. The air in the tires must be worth at least an additional $25.

I wonder if the seller is a notary as well? Or do we have to complete the transaction at the bank? Seems like a good way to keep people from taking a test ride.

Show Bike. Hand-made vintage English racer. Was $600. Now $199

You won't find a nicer original Viscount than this one. It's in stunning shape. Sold as a collectible antique only, not sold for riding purposes. Certain ones of these had fork issues. I am not sure if this is one. You will have to sign a notarized letter stating you are buying this bike for display and show purposes only.

I don't need Bianchigirl to tell me these two are duds. I wish I was as optimistic as this seller. This guy won't accept anything less than his insane asking prices!

[h=2]24" Bianchi Road bike - $125 (Robbinsdale, MN)[/h]24" Bianchi Road bike

Mountain bike converted to road bike. Needs a rear wheel. It has one working brake in back ( the front fork didnt set up with standard road brakes) dont REALLY want to part with it except for 125 so price is firm.

[h=2]25" Bianchi Road Bike - $250 (Robbinsdale, MN)[/h]25" Bianchi Road Bike

This is my daily rider and its only up if I can get $250 for it. It isnt perfect but its ready to ride with 2 brakes, set up as a single speed. Call text or email

It just needs 700c x 20mm tires mounted to fix with the tire clearance issues.

The seller is aware of the issue with the original aluminum forks self destructing and wants to shield him or herself from lawsuits. Nice bike for the price. Replace the fork and you are good to go.

1946 Schwinn New World - $180 (S. Eugene)

Typical really bad Craigslist photos.

However... assuming the dates are correct, it reaches the Wacky Hall of Fame with this:

1946 Schwinn New World
This was one of the few products produced directly proceeding WWII.
I wonder if the seller teaches History???

Brooks Saddle - $20 (Morton Grove) < >

Year old B-17. Cracked a rail and don't want to mess with sending it to england for the warranty. $50 to fix it I guess, but again, I'm not wasting my time with that. My loss, your gain. Interesting trades considered. Tasteful nudes of your old lady, 1984 Chevy Celebrity parts, cheap beer, soiled carpet remnants, late 90's cell phones, etc.

Oh, that would be another fun project.

BROOKS ENGLAND LTD. | FRAMES, BRACKETS, ETC. | B17 STANDARD FRAME ASSEMBLY - BYB 297
BROOKS ENGLAND LTD. | RIVETS__+ETC_ | SOLID+COPPER+RIVET+ +MEDIUM+HEAD+(13+MM+DIA)+ +BYB+277
(note, different sizes of rivets and frames are available... double check before ordering).

I will admit that his choice of possible trades are a bit wacky.

Apparently this person needs to sell his (or her) bike in order to purchase a new wide-angle lens for the camera.

Schwinn Bicycle built for 2 tandem drum brake usa made - $100 (florence)

It probably isn't a bad deal for the bike, although they seem to neglect to mention things like the front wheel, so one has to wonder if the missing half of the photo was intentional.

Florence is also about 50 miles from where the bike was listed in Eugene. I'd hate to get there and get some big surprises.

No doubt!

"parts list" mentions "rear wheel" specifically and does not say "front wheel", so I would guess no front wheel. Potential buyer should definitely clear that up before driving out!
