Yeah I reckon GXP isn't that specific about what hot rod parts are added.
Sometimes I think if a motor goes on one of the minivans I'll grab a sweet deceased grandma Regal out of Sun City and put the 3800 in the minivan. I doubt I'd want to do all that work in reality, though.

If I was going to swap an engine into a 3.4 equipped GM mini van I would consider a 3.9 from a Monte Carlo or Impala. Same 60 degree block as the 3.4. I was impressed by the feel of the 3.9s I drove.
