Did anybody around PDX get a 52cm-55cm FTP? I would love to try one out to compare to the Prez.

it's small, dim, falls out, and is TOTALLY useless if you want to use a saddle without ICS. and sometimes is obscured by fat asses/clothes.

You could do this:
https://www.jensenjensen.com/img/tail...n_daylight.jpg
Granted it doesn't solve the fat ass problem.

I put one of those tiny blinky Knogs on the back of my helmet for an interim solution. Not sure what else I'm going to do.

Okay to dump on the FTP some more. This bike cannot possible fit anyone with long legs who uses short crankarms. I finally cut my mast yesterday and I only ended up cutting like 7mm from the very top of the mast to get my fit. This is well above the "max line". I'm only 5'9 and my legs aren't particularly long. I might pedal with my toes a little farther down than other people but not much. If I had half an inch more inseam I would be screwed. The frame + fork is down to $400 at City Grounds, but hopefully anybody who is considering it has all the negatives:
1 Chainstay clearance issues.
2 Non adjustable seat mast.
3 Possibly loose saddle bracket.
4 No place to attach rear light.
5 Seat mast may not be long enough if you have long legs.
6 Carleton will make fun of you.

Your cog is slipping.
Sounds more like you bought the wrong size frame.
Also, complaining about having nowhere to attach a light to a legitimate track frame little silly. Are you bummed about the lack of fender eyelets and bottle cage mounts too?

The mast length doesn't change for the size of the frame. It is the same for all of the sizes if you look at the geometry chart.
I'm not personally bummed about any of this so far but someone else might be.
Well, maybe the last one bugs me.

i think it's actually that the bb is so high they want you to use long crank arms. not that once centimeter makes a huge difference, but... i think i have 172.5's on and i still feel like my feet are way off the ground when cornering on flat ground.

Yeah, I feel a little like I'm up on a pennyfarthing with this thing as it is. I might consider going with longer cranks if it turns out that the new omniums will fit my frame and I want to upgrade.
By the way, there is plenty of room for a longer crank with the SRAM s300 crankset and a frame with no crimp at the j.

Well I finally got around to taking some photos this morning. Red Ourys need to go, but it's all I had in the parts bin.
Parts List:
FTP 61cm (no problems with seat mast being too short) 37 in from pedal to saddle
Fork - Reynolds Ouzo Pro all carbon
Headset - Cane Creek 40 series
Bars & Stem - Easton EA50
Tektro Brake
Crankset - FSA Carbon Track - 49t - 170 length
Bottom Bracket - FSA
Front Wheel - Eightinch Juliana - soon to be Velocity Fusion - being laced up at the LBS. Cheap 23 tire
Back Wheel - Velocity Fusion, Surly Hub, Dura Ace Cog & lockring - 16t - Randonneur 25 tire
Chain - Sram PC1
Saddle - Selle Italia Flite - titanium rails
Pedals - currently Origin8 with single straps - on order mks gr9 - already have all city doubles and mks double clips
All together cost me $530, but I already had the wheels, tires, brake and a coworker was nice enough to give me an old flite saddle

I bought a EC90 Aero Fork for my FTP, but the top of the fork is rubs against the bottom of the headtube, creating friction slightly damaging the paint in the area. I've never really installed a new fork before. Do I need to put something on it to make it compatible with the stock integrated headset?

yeah a taller crown race... the ec90 fork is meant to have like zero space between it and the headtube. thus aero...

had a similar problem with my fork, My crown race was too tall, Leaving a gap. So i had to get a thinner crown race brining it to zero with just enough clearance at the frame.

Stevey, your bike did come with the bottom for the internal headset? I had to buy the headset separately so I don't know what the stock headset situation that you have is. If your headset was campy instead of cane creek, you might need the hiddenset crown race:
