Wahoo Kickr Snap + Trek Emond SL5 (2020)

Hi, I initially thought it was incompatible with my Trek Emonda SL5 (2020) as the axle is longer than the one that comes with the bike (see pictures)

However I kept screwing it in and it secured, and I can then secure the bike tightly to the Kickr Snap frame. Does the Axle protruding like this mean any cause for concern or is it ok?
